The number of solar installations at residential properties can be expected to grow in the next few years. Solar energy from sunlight, provided by photovoltaic panels (PV panels) mounted on a property’s roof, can provide a substantial proportion of a home’s energy needs. Most residential systems are grid connected – the house remains connected to the electricity supply or utility grid. This provides electricity to the home during the night, and allows any excess electricity generated by the panels (e. G., on sunny days) to be sold to the utility company.

The sun is the center of the solar system and the hinge upon which the entire biosphere is dependent on. It’s on-going fusion reaction, while still being replicated on earth, is the power which makes all life possible. Thus, one can view the sun as the ultimate power plant for us orbiting it, providing heat, light, radiation, and sometimes an electromagnetic shock. Thus, one can make better use of this resource by a simple transition; a transition to solar energy is environmentally responsible for society.
