Non-fiction books have plots. At the least, they need to have plots. One of the largest flaws I see in non-fiction books by self-printed and new authors is a failure to create a plot of their non-fiction books. What do I mean by a “plot”? I mean a transparent purpose, a point. Authors mustn’t simply assume that as a result of their book is about a non-fiction topic, be it biology, a metropolis information, history, or faith or any other non-fiction theme, that readers will understand what their level is. A non-fiction book’s plot is like a street map. It is there to information readers from one level to the next making it clear where the book goes, and arriving on the logical and informative conclusion.
